The Position

You have the ability to develop yourself in an international, multicultural environment and develop business at global Tier 1 accounts in the sectors Machine and Factory Automation. You will be supported by a large team of skilled Product Managers, Application Engineers and a Sales Support team who will work closely with you to develop large scale and long term Key Accounts. You can be part of a fast growing organization in Germany and have influence in the business strategy and implementation. A company that always has been an innovator in the development and manufacturing of high-quality, high-performance computing platforms. You cooperate closely with the eco partners to help providing complete solutions for a focused array of applications. The computing platforms are of renowned worldwide and they hold globally the number one position as Industrial PC supplier. As a frontrunner, you will work with the latest Industrial IT technology to satisfy your customers’ needs, having at your disposal an excellent portfolio of Automation Products and Solutions. The focus, while managing and developing existing Key Accounts, will be creating new business at potential customers in southwest Germany using your knowledge of the local area, market and competition as well as participating to trade shows, seminars and conducting market research. Following our strategic account   development process, you’ll show awareness of customer profitability and organization, as well as internal costs and operations in order to create business plan and negotiate contracts at the best interests of the company. 

Summary of other tasks:

  • Build up long term relationship with customers and decision makers
  • Generate and follow up leads with efficient means
  • Focus on customer’s project development and offering solutions 
  • Visit customers with well-prepared demo kits and materials 
  • Negotiate prices according to company pricing strategy 
  • Manage regular and administrative tasks with company’s tools, especially CRM (SIEBEL), ePricer, B2B etc.
  • Manage business according to internal policies and regulations 
  • Work closely with marketing and technical teams 
  • Feedback market situation and produce information to related departments 
  • Participate in tradeshows, seminar and demonstrations 
  • Cooperate with Channel Sales Force (CSF) to maximize company’s benefits 
  • Workspace will be for the start a home office. It is planned to establish an office in Stuttgart

The Job Requirements

  • Solid experience of industrial automation with embedded market and technical knowledge
  • Experience of building successful long term working relationships 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a general understanding of legal contracts
  • Experience of presenting and negotiating in business and professional opportunities
  • Experience of complex project sales process
  • 3-8 years of experience in project business development in industrial market 
  • Enterprise level sales ability
  • An energetic and reactive personality but with rigor and wisdom 
  • Proactive, self-motivated and able to work in a fast chaining environment
  • Strategic thinking
  • Motivated by the new technologies environment 
  • Fluent in German and English language, speaking and writing
