2156| Sales Director Shanghai (w/m/d)

Our customer is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of systems for testing and diagnosing electronic and electrical vehicle components.

They are seeking an experienced Sales Director with perspective to get Managing Director to lead their sales activities in Shanghai and be responsible for growing their business in China. The ideal candidate will have extensive sales and team leadership experience, as well as a deep understanding of the Chinese market.

The Position

• Manage the Chinese subsidiary of a mid-sized private-owned company in the field of capital goods for the automotive industry with full P/L responsibility.
• Develop the appropriate market and product strategy for the company by keeping close communication to key customers in the market.
• Translate market requirements into solutions
• Develop and implement short- and long-term strategies for the company and for their products and extend the business within the area of responsibility
• Maintain and establish strong partnerships with business partners.
• Ensure all activities conform to and comply with the corporate mission, values and code of conduct.
• Be accountable for P&L, company culture, code of conduct and sustainable positive development, maintaining and developing a positive working environment for the team.

The Job Requirements

• Experience to manage a company of at least 140 employees
• Experience to cooperate with foreign investors and reporting lines to international companies
• Experience in sales of capital goods and related industry background
• University degree in Electrical engineering or IT; preferred master’s degree either in China or abroad
• Related background and education on the commercial side to run a company, either EMBA or commercial or legal education or pre-experience
• Solution-oriented, integrated management style
• Excellent communication skills and charismatic appearance
• Professionality and experience to manage complex business tasks.
• Fluent in English and Mandarin, German is desirable.
