2141| Junior Sales & Support Engineer (w/m/d)

Our customer develops solutions in both the industrial and commercial environments, catering to all of the automation and machine building needs. From simple network installations to
complex Production Line systems, they will provide assistance and advice from the initial
automation planning stages right through to deployment.

The Position

• Networking and developing a brand in the market
• Researching, generating and nurturing leads in a specific international market
• Customer visits to discuss potential projects
• Conceptual facility design based on customer requirements
• Project cost estimating and quote preparation
• Act as supporting point of contact between internal South African project team and
  European based activities
• Customer visits for site survey, collecting of information, championing customer design reviews, project status updates etc
• Site supervision and management of installation teas and sub-contractors during facility installation and commissioning
• Building European supplier base in terms of competence, strategic fit, delivery, and
  quality
• Training of junior application engineers in Germany to increase skill base in line with
  footprint in Europe

The Job Requirements

• University degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or related
  Qualification
• 2-3 years’ experience in Application Engineering (PLC, HMI and Robot Programming)
• Familiarity and experience with many aspects of systems integration (including PLC,
  HMI, Robotics, Motion Control, industrial networking and LV power distribution)
• Industrial automation experience in the automotive manufacturing sector
• Practical hands-on experience
• Willing and able to travel as a moderate amount of travel is required
• Individual needs to be entrepreneurial, dynamic, motivated and driven with the ability
  to take initiative and be creative
